I thought we could start a discussion about the enhancements that we all think Learn.com should make. Maybe we could build some concensus here and see what each other’s pain points are. If we made some coordinated requests to Learn they might listen a little louder.
Here’s an enhancement needed. Learning Plans don’t currently work with instructor-led training as the Learning Plan requires pointing to an enrollment. For ILT it needs to point to an event and then let the student drill down to the enrollment they want to take. For example, if you have a Customer Service ILT class that is taught once per month and you want to put it on someone’s learning plan, you have to pick an individual month that will show on the Learning Plan – say September 2006. If the person comes along in October 2006 and looks at their Learning Plan and wants to take Customer Service, they can’t – the date has passed. This means that the requirement to take Customer Service will never come off their learning plan. How it needs to happen is the Learning Plan should point to the Event of Customer Service and anytime the student takes any of the enrollments that fall under that Event, it should mark it as completed on their Learning Plan.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
This has been an issue with us too. We have over 2500 ILTs annually and had planned to use Plans, SKills, etc., BUT without having the ability to select an event, we abandoned.
