We’ve encountered a problem in our hosted Learncenter 9.3 that we are told is related to the number of groups created during our integration. While administrative access to user controls was not blisteringly fast, it seemed to work fine for the first few months, then it slowed, and now its totally stopped. The groups did not appreciably change at our end during that time. Anyone else experiencing/experienced problems with groups?
Marty
We have not had any issues, but we don’t have a significant number of groups either…
We too are hosted, and have well over a few hundred goups. We have experienced non-stop problems with the intergration because the group names are too long (and you can only view about 40 characters in LearnCenter Reports, and in addition the goups seem to multiply like rabbits. They are working on it, but we have had non stop problems for the past 6 months.
Additionally, I too think we have some slow down issues. But then again, the Manage Users control panel is the clunkiest peice of junk I have ever seen… searches work when they feel like it; any filter used is “Stupidly” retained forcing you to do a few more clicks and wait for the page to refresh when you tell it to clear the filter even though it doesn’t display the filter which was used anywhere on the page, and lastly the filtering results are pathtic because if you filter or search for users in a group and have them displayed it will show the path to that user, i.e, they will show they are a member of that group in which you found them. However, and that is a big HOWEVER, when you search for just a user, you can not cross check them because the results will only display the individual user and NOT display any groups they are members of… So if you want to locate a user – you better go to the right group first… seems way too slow and lame to me…
Anybody have any thoughts on how to better manage users when in the User Manager in Control Panel… I am all ears and clunky fingers ;-0
