McVities launches e-learning language scheme for workers
UK biscuit maker McVities, part of United Biscuits, has said it is launching a new e-learning language scheme for its workers.
The company said the move is in response to the increasingly multinational workforce of the food manufacturing industry. It hopes that by encouraging staff back into learning it will increase productivity.

HFMA’s e-learning partner, MG Strategies, recently had its online library recognized by the American Society of Training & Development for meeting ASTD’s e-learning courseware certification standards based on compatibility, interface, production quality, and e- learning instructional design. The designation demonstrates HFMA courses with MC Strategies meet the professional industry standard.

Namcol Embraces E-Learning
SEVERAL educationalists yesterday converged on the first ever, week-long training workshop aimed at developing electronic learning for distance education which started at a centre in Windhoek.
The workshop, a brainchild of the Namibia College of Open Learning (Namcol) in league with Unesco, is aimed at designing material for e-learning, the first of its kind locally.
