Background:
Our client has an immediate opening for one (1) analyst to support their Learning Management System (LMS). The successful candidate will coordinate requests from the user community for bug fixes and application enhancements; in addition, the successful candidate will be the first line of support for any application-related issues. For bug fixes, enhancements, and general support, the successful candidate will be the single point of contact between the user community and an outsourced vendor under contract to provide additional application support on an as needed basis.
Client uses the SumTotal system as their LMS solution; SumTotal utilizes SQL Server as its database. Therefore, the successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years supporting SumTotal and/or other LMS solutions and corresponding experience with SQL Server and Windows Server.
Some business analysis and requirements-gathering experience will be looked upon favorably. Candidates should have experience working across the entire systems development life cycle. The successful candidate should be flexible and have the ability to sometimes work independently and to sometimes work under management direction. Also, the successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills:
• A minimum of five (5) years supporting SumTotal and/or other Learning Management System.
• Previous experience support SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Previous experience – preferably up to three (3) years – with all or a subset of the following tools: HTML, Word, Excel.
• Previous experience supporting mission-critical systems.
• Some experience in the business analysis space and with collecting and documenting business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Flexibility; team player.
• Willingness to work overtime, including off-hours to provide emergency support.Nice-to-Have Experience (Not required):
• Previous experience in the automotive industry.
• Previous experience with large service-orientated systems.
• Previous experience with Business Objects. -
