The future of elearning tools was a major area of debate at the elearning Guild Conference in which both users and tools developers discuss about what is needed in a Rapid e learning tools, what are there drawbacks and how an ideal tool might look like.Paul Clothier chaired the panel on ‘The Future of Rapid eLearning Tools at Guild’. Silke Fleischer, Gabe Anderson, Andrew Branch etc were some of the Panelists.
Rapid e learning is the fastest growing category of online training. It is a Web based training that can be created in weeks and is authored by subject matter experts or SMEs. Rapid elearning does not mean rapid development. It is a new category of content development that enables subject matter experts to quickly build content. Short time frames and ease of development are the two overarching elements of rapid e learning. Rapid e learning tools should have tools and templates that can help virtually any professional to create a meaningful course as quickly as possible.
